Private onsen was a fantastic retreat each evening.

The staff was extremely attentive and caring.
I stayed in a suite with a refurbished bathroom, but the cold floor and lack of towel hangers were incredibly disappointing. The promised private tub was not filled with hot spring water as expected, rendering it completely useless. Additionally, the access to the onsens could be a challenge for those with mobility issues due to the multiple floors.

Really enjoyed my stay at Ryokan Tsubakino! The kaiseki dinner was delicious, especially that fresh crab. Our modern room was comfy, though the bathroom floor was pretty cold. The staff were super helpful, even bringing me a warm udon when I needed it!

The kaiseki dinner offered a wonderful variety of seasonal dishes that were not only delicious but also beautifully presented.
The shared bathroom facilities could use some improvement in cleanliness, as they felt a bit neglected during peak hours.

Recommend it for great dining experience
The meals, especially the kaiseki dinners, were a real highlight, each dish beautifully presented. I felt like royalty dining on the exquisite creations by the chef, and I could have easily had another serving of that crab sashimi!
It wasn’t cheap but you know what, it was worth it.

Climbing three stories to access the room was quite the workout, especially with luggage. The bathroom floors felt uncomfortably cold, and the private tub was disappointingly not filled with hot spring water, which really hindered the relaxing experience touted by other onsen hotels. With the onsens located on the 2nd and 3rd floors, it’s not the most convenient setup who may have mobility issues.

My stay at the 城崎温泉 旅館 つばき乃 was wonderful. The staff’s attentiveness was exceptional, making me feel valued during my entire stay. The location was perfect for visiting the local onsens, and the meals were fresh, beautifully presented, and simply delicious.
A bit pricey for some may be.

Our group had an amazing stay! The private baths were the perfect way to relax after a day exploring Kazurano Beach and playing golf at Kumihama Country Club. Every meal we had was a treat, especially the kaiseki dinner, showcasing seasonal flavors. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home.
The only downside was that there weren’t enough towel hangers in our room, which made it a bit inconvenient.

The traditional atmosphere and attention from staff created a warm and inviting environment. Every meal was a highlight, with the golden malted waffles being a delightful morning treat. However, accessing the private baths proved to be a challenge at times, and the shared facilities didn’t always have the best upkeep. The location offered easy access to local onsens, but the availability of yukata in the room could be improved.
